Secure Planet, Inc. (SP) is seeking to add a well-qualified Field Support Representative (FSR) with a background in biometrics systems to add to our team as we expand our small, dynamic, group of biometrics FSRs supporting the Near Real-time Identity Operations (NRTIO) collection systems.  This is an opportunity to support the Army’s authority for biometrics,  Project Management Office DoD Biometrics, with the day-to-day maintenance and repair of tactical biometrics

collection devices and peripherals. This includes preventative, controlled, emergency, and corrective maintenance.

These important biometric systems within the Customer’s biometric portfolio give soldiers the decisive edge on the battlefield. You will work in a small team at a Government’s site in the CENTCOM AOR. Each day you and your fellow team members will work with the Government customer and other field engineers to:

  1. Provide deployed Tier 1 operational support to the NRTIO systems and, ultimately, to PM DoD Biometrics Customer in support of on-going military collection operations.
  2. Schedule, perform, document, and review records on maintenance
  3. Sanitize equipment prior to offsite maintenance
  4. Checks security controls following maintenance
  5. Maintain system maintenance records
  6. Maintain a list of authorized maintenance personnel including third-party maintenance providers
  7. Inspect all maintenance tools brought into a facility by maintenance personnel for obvious improper modifications
  8. Train the end-users and operators on all NRTIO collection devices.
  9. Coordinate with vendors for support above tier
  10. Respond to routine warfighter requests for support within 48 hours (emergency inquiries within 8 hours)

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience maintaining biometric collection equipment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with providing field sustainment support to biometric collection systems across a wide spectrum to include but not limited to:
    • Crossmatch Secure Electronic Enrollment Kit (SEEK® II)
    • Crossmatch Guardian® Jump Kit
    • Other tactical collection and matching equipment (e.g., Biometric Automated Toolset-Army (BAT-A), NG BioSled, SEEK Avenger, etc.)
  • Understanding and background performing operation and user maintenance on deployed biometric servers
  • Knowledge on the use of portable iris scanners, digital cameras, fingerprint scanners and fingerprint hard- card scanners
  • Experience with Very Small Aperture Terminals (V-SATs)

Physical Job Requirements

Work on-site (no telework) up to 7 days per week, 12 hours a day
