Two biometric technology providers, one serving government and commercial clients, and the other addressing healthcare industry needs, have been selected as being among the top revenue generators in their respective areas by analysts.
Secure Planet has been ranked eleventh by Inc. magazine on its inaugural Inc. 5000 Series: D.C. Metro list for its two-year revenue growth of 738 Percent, the company announced.
The Inc. 5000 Series: D.C. Metro recognizes the fastest-growing private companies in D.C., Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.
“Secure Planet is focused on developing facial recognition solutions that meet our customers’ requirements and exceed their expectations. We have been fortunate to benefit from our efforts with rapid growth, but our priority has been, and always will be, our customers,” stated Ivan Quinn, General Manager of Secure Planet, in a prepared statement.
The 250 enterprises that made the list registered high growth across all industries in the area, respectively an average growth rate of 196 percent over a two-year period between 2016 and 2018. In 2018, they created 88,000 jobs and brought $6.5 billion in revenue to the economy.
“The companies on this list demonstrate just how much the small-business sector impacts the economies of D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware,” says Inc. editor in chief Scott Omelianuk, in a prepared statement. “Across every single industry, these businesses have posted revenue and growth rates that are beyond impressive, further proving the tenacity of their founders and CEOs.”
The complete results listed in an interactive database have been available since February 26, 2020. The Inc. 5000 Series: D.C. Metro Summit & Awards event is scheduled for June 3, 2020.
Imprivata included among 2019 “Revenue Cycle Unicorns” by KLAS
“We’re honored to be recognized by KLAS as a Revenue Cycle Unicorn, and we view this as confirmation that we are unique in the digital identity market for healthcare,” said Imprivata President and CEO Gus Malezis in a prepared statement. “It’s especially gratifying that so many of our 2,300 global customers weighed in to validate that Imprivata’s solutions, including PatientSecure, help build a secure trust-fabric layer for the front door of any hospital.”
Imprivata PatientSecure received positive feedback from customers, as it leverages biometric technology to authenticate and identify patients when they are physically present in a unit to optimize medical treatment and revenue cycle transactions.
The solution was analyzed by healthcare consultancy KLAS based on customer experience who praised it for its contribution to patient safety, security, lower fraud risk and registration time. Imprivata PatientSecure restricts duplicate records from being created and provides assistance even for unconscious or incoherent patients.
